In today's fast-paced culture, we are constantly inundated with endless options and opinions.
What to eat, what to wear, who to be. It can be overwhelming at the best of times.
However, I am learning that once you gain clarity on what you want and what you are saying YES to, your NO's become automatic.
I'd love to share with you 2 things I do to cut through the brain fuzz, when I'm unsure of what I'm saying yes to.
1. Find a quiet place.
Stillness allows space for us to uncover our innermost thoughts and for clarity to come. Let that still small, voice speak to your heart.
2. Brain Dump. Find a big piece of paper and write on the top of the page 'What does ____ (insert name) really want?" Other reflection questions include:
+ Who am I becoming? + Where do I want to be in a year from now? + What dreams have been placed in my heart? From there, stem out a mind map and don't stop yourself! Let it all out and see what you uncover. There will often be a common theme. Often tangibly writing and seeing what you really want is the boost of confidence we really need, to go after what we truly desire and to say no to things that are not aligned with that.
Because the truth is, we don't need more motivation. “Many people think they lack motivation when what they really lack is clarity.” – James Clear.
I've created a FREE printable below that I hope will remind you to seek clarity on the life you are saying yes to.
